This distinction is bestowed upon less than two percent of all licensed lawyers in Illinois age 40 or younger who have proven themselves as professional, ethical and experienced at an early point in their legal career.
Starr Rayford has been named an Emerging Lawyer in the areas of Personal Injury Defense Law: General, Products Liability Defense Law, and Professional Malpractice Defense Law. This marks the fourth consecutive year Starr has received the “Emerging Lawyer” honor, which is afforded to the state’s highest-ranked attorneys based on surveys completed by Leading Lawyers throughout Illinois. She is an experienced litigator representing clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration forums. She has successfully defended clients against breach of contract, negligence, wrongful death, and product liability claims, as well as claims under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Maureen Loughran is recognized as an Emerging Lawyer in the areas of Elder Law and Trust, Will & Estate Planning Law. She has extensive knowledge in tax and estate planning, probate administration and litigation (guardianship estates, decedent estates and trust estates), and special needs planning. She works with individuals and families, financial institutions, small businesses and corporations, and is frequently appointed by judges as Guardian ad Litem and as counsel for Respondents in Adult Guardianship cases in Cook County.
