Joseph A. Zarlengo has established an impressive legal practice as a trusted advocate and counselor serving the needs of corporations, family-owned and closely held businesses, partnerships, tax-exempt entities, business owners, entrepreneurs and high net-worth individuals. His more than 30 years of legal and tax experience combined with an amiable personality make Joe an outstanding consigliere in reconciling contrasting business differences and opposing views in complex and often stressful situations.

Joe regularly advises business clients on a wide range of tax and business planning matters, as well as entity formation and ownership structure, asset protection and tax savings. He assists business owners with succession planning for wealth preservation and to ensure the smooth transition of business/ownership to younger generations, key employees and strategic buyers when the time comes. Joe’s tax practice also involves the representation of corporate and individual clients in administrating tax controversy matters before the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and Illinois Department of Revenue.

To his individual clients, Joe offers a full range of estate, trust and tax planning services, and often assists with the formation of family foundations and other philanthropic entities to meet charitable objectives. Joe is widely known for his ability to make sophisticated legal issues and strategies understandable to clients, and is a sought-after resource for income and tax planning advice among high net-worth individuals, lottery winners and professional practitioners, including doctors, lawyers, accountants and wealth management advisors.
