Ted Harman possesses solid experience in counseling clients on disputes and regulatory matters since 1989. Starting his legal career as an associate in the Litigation Department of Coffield Ungaretti Harris & Slavin, he became a partner with Ungaretti & Harris in 1996. In addition to representing clients of the firm, Ted’s role also included advising the firm on professional responsibility matters. He soon became Ungaretti & Harris’ General Counsel and served in that capacity until the firm merged with Nixon Peabody in 2015. He left Nixon Peabody in 2016 and continued to represent clients in disputes, regulatory, professional responsibility, and commercial, matters as a sole practitioner with the Law Office of Theodore Harman. In 2021, Ted became Of Counsel with Lawrence Kamin Law.
Ted is the consummate problem solver when it comes to his clients. Whether working to conclude an existing dispute in the most advantageous manner possible for his clients or planning for disputes which may arise, he aims to find the best solutions on the legal issues facing his clients. He works with his clients to identify their needs and goals as well as the risks and benefits of the available courses of action to solve their problems.
Ted and his wife live in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and have three adult children. Ted is an avid runner and a devout Chicago sports fan. Ted is committed to assisting the homeless through his involvement in various roles with DuPage PADS.
